The non-formal education courses are taught by a volunteer teacher from the People's Republic of China, so to learn Chinese you need to know English at least at a beginner level.
Listeners are admitted in several groups:
Classes are held 2 times a week on weekday evenings in RTA's Confucius classroom, Atbrivašanas aleja 90. Class duration 1.5 h (2 academic hours). Lesson times will be coordinated according to the wishes and possibilities of the listeners.
Participation fee: participation is free for RTA employees, students and students of ATV.
After completing the courses, students receive RTA Lifelong Learning Center certificates. Listeners are given the opportunity to take an exam, the results are confirmed by the Institute of Chinese Language in China and a certificate from the Confucius Institute of the University of Latvia is issued, confirming knowledge according to EU language proficiency levels.
After completing the course, there is an opportunity to participate in a summer school in Beijing, as well as to continue learning the language in China.
