Education process for children with developmental delays

What is this course about?  

The program provides knowledge about pedagogical methods of working with children with developmental disabilities. An overview of the different types of developmental disorders is presented. Various classical, active and non-traditional methods of work are presented to improve the quality of the teacher’s work and contribute to the development of the student.

Audience: Educators

Planned results: Course participants will improve their understanding of children's motor and psycho-emotional development and its interaction with the surrounding environment. Within the framework of the course, based on scientific knowledge, knowledge and practical skills are acquired, which are necessary for the formation of pedagogical competence in working with children with various developmental disabilities. The acquired knowledge will contribute to the understanding of the child's development, health and environment as a part of a unified whole.

Knowledge:

·       Understanding specific learning disabilities.

·        Increased knowledge of the use of digital tools in practical work.

·        Knows the basic principles of Sensory Integration.

Skills:

·       Ability to create individualized learning materials.

·       Skills learned support material for learners with reading difficulties.

·       Ability to apply movement tasks in cases of sensory and reflex disorders.

Competencies:

Able to provide effective support to children with various developmental disabilities and communicate professionally with parents.
