The studies promote the competences needed in management and in developing business operations of small and medium-sized companies, especially their international business activities. New strategic thinking, new business concepts, excellent networking and leadership skills are in high demand in the global business environment. The education also promotes international networking and close cooperation with Rezekne Special Economic Zone.

Advanced professional studies include e.g. strategic marketing management as well as change management.

Career opportunities:
The programme is oriented towards the preparation of higher-level managers in any sphere of activity, and all the necessary preconditions for a successful career in international business are created for anyone who has successfully completed the programme.

Results of the study programme

The students of the programme:

  • know management theories, approaches and principles for the management of a company and organization;
  • demonstrate in-depth knowledge in research, know research methods in management science;
  • know the latest tendencies in the management science.

Students gain valuable skills and are able to:

  • analyse and interpret management processes, theories, policies, using research resources, methods, technologies and experience and examples of other organizations in the management science;
  • independently structure own learning, direct own and subordinates towards further education and professional development;
  • show a scientific approach to problem solving;
  • take responsibility and initiative, working individually, in a team or leading the work of other people;
  • make decisions and find creative solutions;
  • compare and evaluate alternative solutions to management processes, select the most appropriate alternative, shows understanding of the professional ethics of a manager;
  • formulate and analytically describe information, problems and solutions in management science, explain them and discuss them with arguments with both specialists and non-specialists.

Students gain valuable competencies and are able to:

  • independently, creatively and critically identify and formulate and analyse complex scientific and professional problems in management science;
  • find innovative solutions to management problems in companies and institutions under changing conditions;
  • make reasoned decisions in the management of a company and organization, observing ethical norms;
  • carry out research work independently and in a team and facilitate own growth.

Admission requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Social sciences.

2. English language proficiency (level B2)

To be submitted: A document certifying language proficiency issued by an international testing institution within the past five years, which certifies the foreigner’s proficiency in English at least at the level B2, except if previous education has been acquired in English.

3. Online interview.
